Midwifery care was recently approved for full provincial funding under Alberta Health Care. This makes choosing to use a Midwife a viable options for expecting families. In the future Footprints Family Haven is hoping to have one or two registered Midwives available for pre-natal, labour, delivery and post-natal care. Families will be able to access the fully equipped birthing room at the Haven including the option to use water for labour and/or delivery.
